Jennifer Lawrence takes Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook!  This is the second nomination and first win for Jennifer Lawrence!

Winner of Best Directing, in a big shocking move is ANG LEE for Life Of Pi.  This was supposed to be another year for Spielberg, but Life of Pi is really cleaning up.  This is the third nomination for Ang Lee and his second Academy Award win.

Adele wins Best Song for the James Bond title song, Skyfall!  This isn’t really shocking, but it’s still fantastic!

A strange turn at the Oscars, Sound Editing goes to both Zero Dark Thirty & Skyfall!?  Stranger still this isn’t the first time a tie has happened at The Academy Awards. In 1969 Katherine Hepburn and Barbara Streisand also tied in the Best Actress category!  There have been other Oscar ties over the years, twice in the Best Documentary category (1949 and 1986) and once for Best Live Action Short Film (1986).
