Charlie Sheen in court on Monday

Charged in connection with Christmas day altercation with wife

Charlie Sheen will reportedly be charged with felony menacing in connection with the Christmas Day incident with his wife, Brooke Mueller. TMZ.com reports that Sheen will also be charged with misdemeanor assault when the criminal complaint is filed today or Monday morning.

The actor is set to appear in court Monday for an arraignment, though sources tell TMZ he is not expected to enter a plea.

Meanwhile, the website adds that Mueller has wrapped up her week-long stay at a North Carolina "wellness center" and is leaving for Aspen, where she'll appear in court with her husband.
Brooke's lawyer, Yale Galanter, told TMZ that the fact that she was at the center for only one week proves that she was there to recover from pneumonia and not in rehab as it's widely been reported. Galanter says Brooke and Charlie are aiming to get a new protective order that will allow them to fly back to L.A. together after the hearing so they can work on their marriage.
