KISS FM “What a Girl Wants” Contest
2010 Rules and Regulations

1. “Contest Period” starts at 6:00am on June 14, 2010, up until 11:59pm on August 2, 2010, the “Contest Closing Date” to enter, become a KISS Loyalty VIP member, for free by registering at 1053kissfm.com, complete the sign up information in full and enter the Contest using any or all of the entry methods listed below.  All times are Eastern Standard Times.
 
2.        (a) Visit 1053kissfm.com during the Contest Period and redeem 2000 points for a ballot, complete the ballot in full and submit in order to be eligible to win an Invitation to the Event.  Random draws by a Rogers Broadcasting Limited (“Rogers”) representative as represented by 1053 KISS FM (“1053 KISS FM”)  at the offices of 1053 KISS FM  will be made each weekday each a “Draw Date” from all the entries received by 11:59pm each Draw Date, and one (1) entrant will be announced on-air.  All entrants selected from these entry methods will be deemed as Qualifiers (“Qualifiers”).
A total of (35) thirty five Qualifiers will be selected using this entry method. Non selected entries will be carried forward to the next Draw Date.

(b) You can also enter by visiting one (1) of the remote locations listed at 1053kissfm.com and complete an original entry ballot (photocopies, facsimiles or other reproductions will not be eligible).  Times, dates & locations of the remotes will be announced on-air and at 1053kissfm.com.  At each remote location, random draws by a Rogers representative will be made one (1) business day after the day for entry from all eligible entries received as of the close of business that day. One (1) Qualifier will be chosen from all completed ballots deposited at that remote location.  A total number of four (4) Qualifiers will be selected using this entry method.

(c) Bonus codes will appear in “24” weekly from June 21 –   August 1, 2010. Log onto your KISS CLUB  account and insert the Bonus Code, for one (1) entry per Bonus Code  into the Contest by the Contest Closing Date.  A random draw from all eligible entries received as of the Contest Closing Date will be made by a Rogers representative at the offices of 1053 KISS FM on August 2, 2010 at approximately noon. All Qualifiers will be notified via email or telephone as indicated on their member account or entry ballot.  If a Qualifier cannot be contacted by noon on August 6, 2010, declines the invitation or incorrectly answers the skill testing question or fails to return a signed release and acknowledgment form another Qualifier will be selected on August 6, 2010.

 

3. No purchase, expenditure or investment necessary to enter this Contest.

4. This Contest is open to residents of Ontario & Quebec, 19 years of age or older as of the date of entry, except employees of Rogers, its respective parent and affiliate companies; representatives and agents, the Contest suppliers and those with whom they are domiciled.  This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity Contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties to reach a settlement

 

5. All Qualifiers will be invited to participate in the Grand Prize Draw Event the (“Event”) to be held at LOGO Restaurant at a date, time and location to be decided.  Approximately forty six (46) Qualifiers will be randomly selected in total during the Contest Period.

 

6. All (or their designated proxies) must be in attendance and registered at the Event in order to be eligible to win the Grand Prize.   All Qualifiers will be required to register with Contest officials upon arrival at the Event, by a specified time to be determined on your KISS FM “What a Girl Wants” Invitation or by phone/email.   Failure to officially register at the Event by the pre-determined time may result in disqualification from the Contest.

 

7. Any Qualifier who cannot attend the Event must notify Contest officials in advance, in writing; with the name of their designated proxy who will participate on their behalf (designated proxy must be over the age of 19).  Failure to notify Contest officials by the pre-determined time will result in disqualification from the Contest. Deadline for proxy notification is August 6, 2010 at 12:00 p.m.

 

8. At the Event, a reverse random draw will be held from all Qualifiers present and registered and in attendance, to determine the Grand Prize winner.  The last entry selected will be the selected entrant for the Grand Prize.  If the Qualifier or their designated proxy is not in attendance at the Event, or leaves the Event early, or cannot be located for any reason whatsoever, when their name is called, another Qualifier will be selected at the Event by a random draw of all other Qualifiers registered and in attendance at the Event.

In order to win, the Qualifier must first have correctly answered, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question posed at the Event. The Qualifier will be required to sign a release and acknowledgment form before being declared the winner. 1053 KISS FM judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of the Grand Prize. 

9. Only one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded consisting of:

• Maid Service for a Year from Molly Maid (twenty six (26) x one (1) hour visits)
(Winner will receive $1,000 cash if residence is outside Molly Maid's territory)
• $2,500 Shopping Spree from Place D'Orleans
• $3,000 Gift Certificate from Bushtukah for "Today's Active Lifestyle"
• A Sony' KDL46XBR10 46” BRAVIA XBR10-Series LCD TV with Motionflow 240Hz and Wireless HD Media Box from Signature Audio Video

• One (1) visit per month for one (1) year (12 x Visits) at Daya Spa with Organic Facial, Pedicure & Manicure

 

 

Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $12,000.00 CDN.

The winner is responsible for all costs associated with the prize, including but not limited to delivery of the prize(s), and any additional costs not listed as part of the prize.

 

10. 1053 KISS FM reserves the right to add or delete prizes in the Grand Prize package of at least equal or greater value throughout the Contest.  No substitutions for, or transfer of the Grand Prize will be allowed and the Grand Prize is not convertible to cash.

 

11. The Grand Prize must be accepted in its entirety and as awarded (in the colours, models).

 

12. Chances of winning depend upon the total number of Qualifiers registered and in attendance at the Event.  Rogers is unaware of how many Qualifiers there may be after registration.  The winner may come from any geographical area so long as they otherwise qualify to enter.

 

13. Some restrictions on some of the prizes awarded may apply. Only one (1)  Qualifier per household is allowed. If the identity of a Qualifier is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the Qualifier.  The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder.  A Qualifier may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry.  All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).

 

14. All decisions of the judges are final. 1053 KISS FM reserves the right to modify these official rules as necessary.

 

15. All entries become property of 1053 KISS FM who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the website during the Contest, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.  1053 KISS FM  reserves the right, in its sole discretion; to cancel or suspend the email portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, 1053 KISS FM  reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

 

16. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant. 

 

17. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by 1053 KISS FM .  1053 KISS FM  takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.

 

18. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by 1053 KISS FM and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation.  Winner consents to their photograph being taken by 1053 KISS FM for such use, without further compensation.

 

19. 1053 KISS FM is collecting personal data about entrants for the sole purpose of administering this Contest.  No further informational or marketing communications will be received by the entrant unless the entrant provides 1053 KISS FM with explicit permission to do so as indicated at the time of entry.  Please see our Privacy Policy at www.rogers.com for full information on the 1053 KISS FM’s policy towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information.

 

20. This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by 1053 KISS FM.  Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the Contest.

 

21. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
