Gaga has been criticized by PETA once again after she shared several Instagram shots of her pet French bulldog Asia draped in heavy costume jewellery. Asia doesn’t look all that pleased.
PETA wrote in a statement via its official website.
“Though it seems pretty clear that Lady Gaga loves Asia, we think Asia — and all dogs — are adorable without all the added flair.”
Kind of a wimpy response from the same people who, just a couple of years ago, accused Lady Gaga of having “no heart” when she wore a scarf with a fox’s head still attached…ew.
But PETA wasn’t the only group willing to use lady Gaga to get press chime in:
“We are shocked to see the pictures of this puppy adorned with heavy jewellery,” Paula Boyden, the director of the Dog’s Trust, said.
“Dressing dogs in pseudo-human clothing not only ridicules and makes a spectacle of them but treats them as a fashion accessory rather than a living animal.”
A spokesperson for Lady Gaga has declined to comment.
